What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data a website or a service used by that website can store in a browser. Some cookies are needed for site operation or security; others may be used for preferences, measurement, or advertising when those features are enabled.
Cookies currently relevant to CueLab
CueLab may use essential or security-related cookies required by WordPress, the hosting environment, or security tools. Public comments are currently disabled, so the site does not intentionally ask ordinary visitors to use WordPress comment cookies that remember a commenter’s name, email address, or website.
Google AdSense and advertising technologies
CueLab currently includes Google AdSense code on public pages for site review and potential advertising. When that code loads, Google may request resources from googlesyndication.com, doubleclick.net, and related Google domains. Depending on ad eligibility, visitor location, consent choices, and Google settings, Google or its partners may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies and may receive information such as the page URL, browser and device details, IP-derived location, and advertising identifiers. These technologies can support ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.
Some advertising storage and personalization are optional and subject to regional consent requirements. Where a consent interface is presented, you can use it to accept, reject, or adjust the available choices. You can also review how Google uses information from sites that use its services, manage personalization in Google Ads Settings, and use your browser controls to block or remove cookies.
Third-party content and services
Links may take you to third-party websites with their own cookies and privacy practices. If CueLab later embeds third-party media or services directly into pages, those integrations will be reviewed and this policy will be updated when they materially affect visitor data.
Your browser controls
Most browsers let you block or remove cookies. Blocking essential cookies can affect administrative or security-related functions, while public article reading should not require a visitor account.
Policy updates
This page will be revised when the site’s cookie use changes materially. See the Privacy Policy for the broader description of CueLab’s data practices.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
CueLab public pages also load a Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon to measure visits and page performance. Cloudflare describes this service as collecting aggregate website analytics without analytics cookies, local-storage identifiers, or browser fingerprinting. The beacon can report page and referrer information, browser and operating-system categories, and performance measurements. This analytics service is separate from advertising code and from any hosting or security processing.
For the provider’s explanation, see Cloudflare Web Analytics. Blocking the beacon in your browser may prevent those analytics measurements; the public articles remain available.
