Scope of this notice
This notice explains visitor-data practices for CueLab at https://www.cuelab.online. You can read the guides without registering. Contact details are listed on the Contact page.
Comments and moderation
Comment forms collect your message, name, email address, and an optional website address. WordPress also records the submitting IP address and browser information for moderation and spam checks. Every comment requires approval before publication. Approved comments can display your name, message, website link, and avatar; your email address is not displayed with the comment.
Comments and their associated records remain in the site database until removed; they do not have an automatic expiry. Avoid posting private information or another person’s contact details.
Comment cookies and avatars
The optional remember-details checkbox stores your name, email, and website in browser cookies for up to one year. Leave it unchecked to decline this convenience, or remove those cookies through your browser settings. This choice is not consent to advertising cookies.
Avatars are enabled. A hash derived from your email can be sent to Gravatar to find a profile image. Gravatar is provided by Automattic; see Automattic’s privacy notice. An approved comment may show the returned image publicly.
Messages and technical operation
If you email the site, your email service transmits the address and information you include in your message. Send only what is needed to explain your question. The website’s server processes connection information to deliver pages and respond to requests. This notice does not mean that every visitor has an account or that a particular advertising or analytics service is active.
Google advertising, if introduced
This section describes Google advertising when it is used; it is not an announcement that Google ads are currently running. Third-party ad providers, including Google, can use cookies informed by earlier visits to this site and other websites. Those cookies allow Google and its partners to select advertising using browsing history.
Visitors can manage or disable personalized Google ads through Google Ads Settings. Learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites. Additional ad providers and their controls must be identified here if they are introduced.
Where advertising requires consent, the relevant choices must be provided before those services operate. This policy page and the comment-cookie checkbox do not replace an advertising-consent interface.
Your choices and external links
You can request access, correction, or removal of personal information associated with your comments or correspondence through the Contact page. Information needed for legal or security reasons may need to be retained. Do not include passwords or identity documents in an initial request.
Links in the guides lead to independently operated websites. Once you follow a link, that website’s data practices apply. Browser controls can block or clear cookies, although blocking essential login cookies can affect account access. See the Cookie Policy for further detail.
This notice will need updating when the site’s features or data practices change.
